We talked about Rashid’s original dharma talk of the same title - how it is he came to explore the embodied sensations related to aggression through his yoga practice; how aggression-as-compassion is a manifestation of living in bodies that have sustained trauma from colonization and racialization; the incredible importance of “rest” as the natural state of the body’s awareness and a powerful function of a healthy relationship to social justice practices; and how mindfulness which is cultivated with the intentionality of true compassion can help to heal us all from internalized white supremacy…followed by a really sweet practice that we designed to help integrate these lessons-of-love.
